What exactly will we be doing?
Creating. Practicing How to Get Unstuck.

• You’ll receive Envelopes of Creative Experiments. Inside will be invitations for writing, visual art/found art explorations, sound/music considerations. Also included: supplies, tools, and inspiration. Inspiration may be image, text, sound, a scent, a taste. These envelopes form the foundation for generation of new material and they are yours to keep and reuse.

• Our Preparation for Creativity will include optional activities: a sunrise walk, a queering of the forest tour (how are ideas of gender/masculinity/femininity found in a forest?), movement of the body (to music, in silence, backs to one another, among the trees), moving towards recognizing and adapting to stillness, poetry walks, sound walks, and shared practices for letting go of tension and expressing gratitude.

• Our Support for Creativity in life, in leadership, in art-making, will include optional activities: scheduled and unscheduled rest times, breathing techniques, storytelling gathering (always optional to share a story), turn-down service (guided relaxation meditation), small group collaboration informed by best practices, solo/quiet retreat space (we are dedicating an area of our space for supported solitude), an indoor space for gathering, and delicious locally-sourced vegan and gluten free meals with add-on options.

• Our Pre-gathering Support includes introductory PDF surprises of Creative Experiments, one-on-one phone/zoom calls or a survey (your choice of the three options) for mini-assessment of creative needs, a reading list of relevant titles to the weekend’s work,

• Our Post-gathering Support includes early notice of writing circles registration, future educational opportunities for leaders, artists/writers/musicians/dancers, and teaching artists. Perhaps you’ll open a door to a space you don’t recognize…we are here if you need us to listen, to offer opportunities for reflection/integration or to refer you to resources which may help you.
